BOTTOM'S TALE
Excerpts from A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare

Nick Bottom and TitaniaPrepare to be enchanted as our hapless hero, Nick Bottom, encounters a magical world inhabited by fairies and sprites. Robin Goodfellow (aka Puck) mistakenly turns Nick into a donkey, Nick falls in love with Titania-Queen of the Fairies, and Oberon-the King of the Fairies, is not very pleased!

Up to six of your students will participate in the performance as fairies and sprites, and get to perform alongside Aranui Theatre Company actors. However, it will take all of the audience’s combined power of magic to untangle this mixed-up magical mayhem before Robin “can make amends” and Nick Bottom can wonder if it has all been A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Duration: approximately 45 minutes including Q&A session.

Curriculum links: Drama PK, DI, CI, UC.

Cost: $3 per pupil ($6 max. per family), parents and teachers are free.
