Robert Gilbert - Director

Robert Gilbert - Director

 

Robert Gilbert BA(Education), GDipTchLn. Robert has over 17 years experience as a professional actor, writer and director. He has worked at Christchurch's Court Theatre, TVNZ, and Christchurch Arts Network. He was the founder and artistic director of Whakarite Theatre Company, The Performing Arts Theatre, and Excalibur's Theatre Restaurant. For the past 11 years Robert has been Head of Drama at Aranui High School. In 2007, Robert won The Best Director Award at the International Theatre Festival in Norfolk Island.

 

Andrew Bolitho - Actor

Andrew Bolitho - Actor

 

Andrew has excelled in recent years particularly as an actor in challenging Shakespearean productions. His credits include the lead in Richard III, and an award-winning performance as Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet. In recent years, Andrew had had leading roles in The Bacchae, Little Shop of Horrors and Ophelia Thinks Harder. Andrew is a gradute of Aranui Theatre Academy.

 

Fi Glasgow - Actor

Fi Glasgow - Actor

 

Fi spent two years at Hagley Theatre Company after graduating from Aranui Theatre Academy. She has played leading roles in many productions including: Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Lorna in A Night With Rebeck, and Maria Theresa in Illyria. Fi also played Puck in the award-winning production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and a major role in Bread, which was performed at Toi Whakaari in Wellington, and also Norfolk Island in 2005.

 

 

Steven Keen - Actor

Steven Keen - Actor

 

In 2006, Steven won the most improved actor award in the Regional Sheilah Winn Festival. Later that year, he was selected for the National Youth Shakespeare Company follwing his outsanding performance at the National Festival. Steven's credits include Caludius in the award-winning production of Hamlet, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and leading roles in Ophelia Thinks Harder and Into the Woods. Steven is a graduate of Aranui Theatre Academy.

 

 

Sara Ninness

Sara Ninness - Actor

 
Sara is a graduate of Aranui Theatre Academy. In recent years she has played leading roles in The Bacchae, Ophelia Thinks Harder, Into The Woods, and Hamlet. Her portrayal of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet was rewarded with the production winning the top awards at the NZ Theatre Federation district and regional Festivals, and Best Production at the International Theatre Festival in Norfolk Island. Sara has recently completed playing the lead role in an independent short film.
   

Ruth Wilson - Actor

Ruth Wilson - Actor

 
Ruth graduated from Aranui Theatre Academy's two-year programme in 2007. She played the lead in Into The Woods, and enjoyed terrific success as Nurse in the multi award-winning production of Romeo and Juliet. In 2006, she played St Joan in Ophelia Thinks Harder, and several roles during her time with Original Scripts Theatre Company.
