Robert Gilbert BA(Education), GDipTchLn. Robert has over 17 years
experience
as a professional actor, writer and director. He has worked at Christchurch's Court Theatre, TVNZ, and Christchurch Arts Network. He was the founder and artistic director of Whakarite Theatre Company, The Performing Arts Theatre, and Excalibur's Theatre Restaurant. For the past 13 years Robert has been Head of Drama at Aranui High School. He has twice won The Best Director Award at the International Theatre Festival in Norfolk Island.

Jayde Braxton - Actor

With a passion for the performing arts from an early age, Jayde has performed in over 20 stage shows and short films. Highlights include It Runs in the Family for Rangiora Players and as the notorious Queen Acrimonia in The Snow Queen for Riccarton Players. This year, Jayde is delighted to be playing Patricia and Margery in Frank'n'friends Great Magic Show, and the misunderstood Horatio in Ophelia Thinks Harder.

Julian Carroll - Actor

Julian was educated at Cashmere High School where he excelled in Drama. After spending a couple of years working in hospitality, he has decided to follow his dream and join Aranui Theatre Company for their National Tour. After successfully auditioning for the company, he is relishing the roles of Bert and Tamati in Frank'n'friends Great Magic Show, and Gertrude and St Joan in Ophelia Thinks Harder. |

Tara Cattermole - Actor

Tara is a graduate of Aranui Theatre Academy. Her recent productions include Scots on the Rocks and Into the Woods. Last year she enjoyed working as Assistant Stage Manager at The Court Theatre for Robert Gilbert's production of Angels. She also enjoyed great succes in A Midsummer Night's Dream which won several awards at the NZ Theatre Federation Festivals, and Best Youth Production at the International Theatre Festival in Norfolk Island. |

Annie Wesselingh - Actor

Annie attended Rangiaora High School, and studied drama and theatre with Robert Gilbert for five years at Gilbert Productions School of Drama. Annie played leading roles in most productions and jumped at the opportunity to work with Robert this year. She plays Jonni in Frank'n'friends Great Magic Show and Hamlet in Ophelia Thinks Harder.

Nicole Whalley - Actor
|

Nicole was educated at Paraparaumu College. She has a passion for the performing arts and enjoyed acting, singing and dancing during her high school years. She joined Aranui Theatre Company in 2009 to play Hamlet in Hamlet: The Moody Dane, which went on to win Best Comedy at the NZTF District Theatre Festival. She was also cast in A Midsummer Night's Dream which won multiple awards in New Zealand and Norfolk Island. Nicole loved her experienece with the company so much last year, she has decided to continue with her passion in 2010.
